I'm against them all. I'm against it and created a Privacy Policy that protects students' dignity and also helps site admin. Navigate the complex waters of satisfying all parents and students, even though state law allows this evil situation to happen in our public schools. Sept 9, 2026 5. Totally against this. It's evil, and unfortunately, unless the law changes in California and C.I.F. policy changes, it's allowed. There should be boys' sports and girls' sports. And if trans people want to play, let them have their own league. Also, if men want to play with women in sports, they should join a "co-ed" league where this is allowed and is fair, with pure co-ed rules.

I believe parents have a fundamental right and responsibility to know when their minor child receives healthcare services through a school. Schools should never become a barrier between parents and their children, particularly when decisions involve a child's physical or mental health. Except in a genuine emergency or where disclosure is specifically prohibited by law, parents should be promptly notified when their minor child accesses school-based healthcare services and should provide consent when required. I support maximum transparency, informed parental involvement, and policies that respect the family as the primary institution responsible for a child's upbringing and well-being. Schools should support parents in fulfilling that responsibility, not replace them.

I put this on the agenda and got it voted in on Sept. 22, 2023: PARENTAL NOTIFICATION - 5020.1 See here: https://simbli.eboardsolutions.com/SB_Meetings/ViewMeeting.aspx?S=36030186&MID=22134&Tab=Agenda&enIID=ejMKnvJW81gQSusN6anplusbg%3D%3D Then TVUSD got sued for it: "Mae vs. Komrosky" lawsuit. Then came AB 1955, where we had to rescind it. Now the Supreme Court stands behind what I took a stand on. I was at the forefront of this battle to protect the innocence of children and to empower the parents. There should be no secrets kept from the parents about what is happening to their kids at the public schools!

I support expanding parental choice in education and allowing public policy to give families greater flexibility in selecting the educational setting that best meets their child’s needs. Parents know their children better than government bureaucracies do, and a child should not be trapped in an educational environment simply because of a ZIP code. Families should have meaningful access to strong traditional public schools, charter schools, alternative programs, private education, and homeschooling options consistent with applicable law. California already recognizes forms of public-school choice and alternative programs, but broader proposals that allow education dollars to follow students would require changes to state law. My guiding principle is simple: education exists to serve students and families, and parents should have a strong voice in determining the best educational path for their children.

I support requiring affirmative parental opt-in before minors participate in school surveys or questionnaires that seek personal or sensitive information. Parents should know what questions their children are being asked, why the information is being collected, who will have access to it, and how the information will be used. This is especially important when surveys involve political or religious beliefs, mental or psychological matters, sexual behavior or attitudes, family relationships, or other sensitive subjects. Federal law already provides specific parental protections for surveys involving eight protected areas, including rights to notification, inspection, and, in certain circumstances, prior written consent. I support strong transparency and parental involvement while complying with applicable state and federal law.

Life starts at conception. I believe every human life has inherent dignity and value, including unborn children. As a school board trustee, my authority is education—not abortion law—and I would remain within that constitutional and legal role. Within our schools, I would work to foster a culture that values every child by supporting strong families, protecting children, respecting parents, providing excellent education, and ensuring pregnant and parenting students are treated with dignity and supported in continuing their education. I believe schools should teach students that human life is valuable and that responsibility, compassion, family, and respect for others matter. Whatever disagreements Californians have over abortion, every child who enters our schools deserves to know that his or her life has tremendous worth and potential. “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.” — Psalm 139:14 (NKJV)

I support the longstanding American tradition of opening public meetings with an invocation or prayer, provided it is conducted in a manner consistent with the Constitution and applicable law. I believe faith and religious liberty have an important place in our nation’s history, and public officials should not be hostile toward religious expression. At the same time, participation should never be coerced, and people of different faiths—or no faith—must be treated respectfully. As a California school board trustee, I would follow controlling law while supporting the broadest protection of religious liberty that the Constitution permits. That said, I would love it if a God-fearing pastor could lead an invocation at a school board meeting, but then you also allow a Satanist, New-Ager, etc. to do the same, which is the difficult part of this equation. I suppose the possibility of having the former is better than nothing, though. In summation, I'm open to this for sure.
