I support voter identification requirements because I believe we should do everything we reasonably can to protect the integrity and security of our elections. At the same time, I want to make sure we are not creating unnecessary barriers for eligible voters. If photo identification is required, it should be accessible and available at no cost to those who need it. We can protect the integrity of our elections while making sure every eligible voter has a fair opportunity to participate. To me, election security and access to the ballot should go hand in hand.

It is important that the election process be protected; therefore, although I feel it is everyone's right to cast a ballot, those ballots should be cast with government issued photo identification.

I do not support requiring voters to present government-issued photo identification to cast a ballot. Voting is a fundamental democratic right, and we must ensure that every eligible voter can participate without unnecessary barriers. Our election system should maintain its integrity while making voting accessible to all eligible citizens, regardless of their financial situation or access to identification.

Absolute necessity

I believe the Second Amendment protects the right of law-abiding Americans to own firearms for lawful purposes, including self-defense. I also believe responsible gun ownership is important. I support reasonable measures such as background checks and safe-storage requirements that help keep firearms away from people who are legally prohibited from possessing them, while respecting the rights of law-abiding gun owners.

I fully support the Second Amendment and law-abiding citizens' right to bear arms. Because Ontario is a council-manager city, our focus is on community safety. I support sensible, constitutional measures—like keeping guns out of the hands of violent offenders—while ensuring local laws strictly align with state and federal legal standards.

I interpret the Second Amendment as a fundamental protection of the people’s right to bear arms, serving as a safeguard against government overreach and preserving the freedoms upon which America was founded. I support the right of law-abiding citizens to own firearms for self-defense and to protect their liberty. At the same time, I support reasonable measures to keep firearms out of the hands of those who pose a serious danger to others while respecting the constitutional rights of responsible gun owners.

The 2nd Amendment was designed for our own self protection and preservation. Our Founding Fathers understood the danger of an unarmed population, therefore they incorporated no restrictions on how we defend ourselves, even from the government.

I do not support allowing recreational marijuana dispensaries in Ontario. I respect that recreational marijuana is legal under California law, but I believe cities should have the ability to set standards that reflect the needs and values of their community. As Mayor, I would focus on public safety, protecting our families and neighborhoods, and maintaining the quality of life our residents expect.

If a measure were introduced and the citizens of Ontario voted in support of recreational marijuana dispensaries in our city, as mayor, I would seek strong limitation to minimize the amount of licenses granted, and these businesses would only be allowed to operate on the outskirts of the city if a plan could be developed to positively use tax revenue directly for residents.

I support permitting recreational marijuana dispensaries within state limits under proper regulations. A regulated market allows the city to oversee sales, enforce age restrictions, and reduce reliance on unregulated markets where products may be contaminated with dangerous substances, including fentanyl. By prioritizing public safety, responsible distribution, and enforcement against illegal sales, we can better protect our community while ensuring adults have access to legal products.

Not in my city!

I would look at cutting unnecessary spending and finding efficiencies before increasing taxes. I believe government should live within its means and be a good steward of taxpayers’ money. Before asking residents to pay more, I would want to review the budget carefully, eliminate waste, prioritize essential services, and look for ways to operate more efficiently. If a tax increase were ever considered, it should only be after those options have been fully explored and there is a clear need to protect essential services.

As a business owner and resident I cannot magically increase my funds to grow my business; therefore, I would move to cut spending in an effort to address a budget deficit.

I would prioritize cutting unnecessary spending and improving government efficiency before considering any tax increases. Fiscal responsibility requires strong leadership, transparency, and accountability for every taxpayer dollar. Our city must prioritize essential services, eliminate wasteful expenditures, and ensure public funds are used where they provide the greatest benefit to residents.

Rather than cut spending, I would say reprioritize spending. NO NEW TAXES. Nope. I'm not for it.

I believe every child deserves the opportunity to be born into a safe, loving, and supportive environment. I also believe we should support women facing difficult circumstances with compassion and practical resources.

By ensuring the appropriate literature and counseling is made available to residents seeking abortions so these couples are aware of options they otherwise may not be knowledgeable about.

I believe reproductive healthcare, including abortion, is an essential human right and that every person deserves the ability to make decisions about their own body and future. Fostering a culture that values children also means supporting families before and after birth by making childcare more affordable, expanding access to early childhood education, and connecting parents with essential resources. By investing in families and reducing the financial burden of raising children, we can help ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow up healthy, safe, and supported.

As a Christian I am committed to Pro-Life policies. I always speak about the value of the unborn.

I respect the constitutional process and the rights of all Californians. As a person of faith, I believe marriage is a sacred institution between a man and a woman.

The voters of California made their voices heard on Proposition 3, and I respect the constitutional process and the decision of the electorate. As a candidate for mayor, my primary focus is not on national or state social debates, but on the immediate, practical needs of our municipality. Our city faces pressing, everyday challenges that affect every single resident—such as lowering the cost of living, fixing local infrastructure, improving public safety, and ensuring balanced city budgets. My commitment is to manage our city government efficiently, responsibly, and fairly.

Coming from a culture in which we allow and accept anyone as family, I support marriage equality and believe every individual deserves the fundamental right to marry the person they love, regardless of sex. Our Constitution should protect equal rights and ensure that no one is discriminated against under the law. As a community, we should uphold dignity, fairness, and equal protection for everyone, recognizing that love and commitment deserve the same legal recognition and respect for all couples.

I think it was a decision made by people with no concern about Biblical values. That is not my position.

I support continuing the tradition of opening City Council meetings with an invocation or prayer.

I firmly stand behind the tradition of allowing invocations (i.e. prayer) at the beginning of city council meetings.

Although I do not agree that religion should play a role in politics, I do not mind prayers before city council meetings as it is practically a tradition.

I wholeheartedly believe in it, but I also condone and allow it.

I support President Trump’s efforts to strengthen our borders and enforce our immigration laws. I believe we need a secure border to protect our communities, keep people safe, and make sure our immigration system is fair and orderly.

I believe--as a nation--we are safer at the border under President Trumps presidency and support the steps his administration has taken to ensure limited illegal crossings are occurring, drug introduction has been stymied, and sex traffickers are being hunted.

I believe ICE should be abolished, and that our responsibility to protect immigrant families must begin at the local level. As mayor, I would work to establish an Immigrant Justice Fund to support families targeted by federal immigration enforcement, providing access to qualified immigration attorneys, legal representation, and humanitarian assistance. No family should have to face the uncertainty of an immigration case without the resources or support they need. Our city must stand for human dignity, due process, and the protection of every resident, regardless of immigration status.
