I support requiring government issued photo IDs in order to cast a vote.

I am a strong supporter of the second amendment and a gun owner. Personal defense and the ability to defend our families paramount to personal safety.

I am not supportive of recreational marijuana dispensaries operating with our City.

I am supportive of both ways to address a budget deficit. Cuts should be the first focus before asking voters for a tax increase. Tax dollars are too often sent to Sacramento or Washington, DC and never returned. If we can keep taxes dollars here or lobby to get them back, I am supportive.

I am staunchly pro-life. Life begins at conception and we need to ensure a society that protects children of all ages. We need to work on a society that remembers that the family is the nucleus of a healthy community.

I believe in personal freedom. If two adults would like a civil union, that is their choice. However, I believe that marriage should be an sacrament that Churches perform according to their beliefs. A Church should not be forced to perform a marriage that is opposite their teachings.

We begin every City Council meeting with an invocation. As Romans 13:1-2 states God has put us into office and we need to be reminded of that. We are public servants.
