Voter ID

Share your view on the 2026 California ballot proposition that requires voters to show a government-issued photo identification to vote.
Election integrity matters. Free and fair elections are the foundation of our democracy. Requiring a government-issued photo ID to vote is a resonable, responsible measure that helps secure our elections and protect every legitimate vote. Californians deserve a system they can trust--one that is fair, transparent, and accountable. We already show ID for everyday activities. Applying that same standard to voting helps ensure fairness, transparency, and trust.

Budget

Share your views on California's budget shortfalls and mounting debt. Do you favor cutting spending, raising taxes, or a mix of both to achieve fiscal responsibility?
California doesn't have a revenue problem--it has a spending problem. Fiscal responsibility starts with accountability. I support cutting wasteful spending and fully investigating the mismanagement and corruption that continue to drive budget shortfalls and rising debt. Taxpayers deserve accountability, transparency, and a government that lives within its means. We must take a hard look at how taxpayer dollars are being spent, eliminate waste, and investigate corruption wherever it exists. California families are tightening their budgets--Sacramento should do the same. Out-of-control spending, waste, and lack of oversight have put CA on an unsustainable financial path. I will fight to cut unnecessary spending, expose corruption and restore fiscal discipline to protect our state's future.

Israel

Share your view on America's support for Israel.
America's alliance with Israel is rooted in shared democratic values, mutual respect, and a commitment to security. We have had a long-standing strategic partnership with them built on shared interests. We must stand firmly with them. Israel has the right to defend itself against terrorism and ensure the safety of its citizens. America's support should remain unwavering as we stand for freedom, security, and shared values. We must continue to support Israel's security while encouraging lasting peace and stability in the region for all people.

Border

What is your view of President Donald Trump's measures to enhance border security?
A secure border is essential to a safe and sovereign nation. Border security is about protecting people and upholding the rule of low. We can be both compassionate and secure. Strong enforcement helps prevent crime, disrupt trafficking networks, and create a fair system where legal immigration is respected and protected. We need practical measures that enforce our laws, stop human trafficking and drug smuggling, and ensure that immigration happens in a legal and orderly way. enhancing border security--through modern technology, effective staffing, and clear enforcement--helps restore order while ensuring our immigration system works as intended. Americans deserve a border policy that works. That means real accountability, effective enforcement, and results that reduce illegal crossings and protect our communities.

Marriage

In 2024, Californians voted to amend the state Constitution to establish marriage as a fundamental right regardless of sex. What is your view on this amendment?
CA is home to people with a wide range of beliefs and values. I support equal legal rights and protections for every adult couple--no exceptions. I also believe we can respect differing perspectives by recognizing committed "unions" in a way that preserves both equality and freedom of belief. At the same time, I believe the term "marriage" carries a long-standing traditional meaning. Recognizing civil unions with full and equal legal standing allows us to protect individual rights while respecting deeply held beliefs. We don't have to choose between quality and tradition--we can honor both.

Abortion

After the Supreme Court returned abortion policymaking to the states, do you believe that is the correct level of government to decide this issue, or should Congress or the Constitution establish a national standard?
The Supreme Court returned this issue to the states--but that doesn't mean the conversation is over--we need to ask whether that is truly the right long-term approach. This is one of the most complex and deeply personal issues we face and the real question is: what level of government is best equipped to handle something this significant? That's a serious constitutional and policy question, and there is no easy answer. Some believe states should should decide. Others believe there should be a clear national standard. I think that's a legitimate conversation we need to have as a country. What matters to me is that we approach this issue thoughtfully, respect the Constitution, and work toward a solution that reflects both compassion and stability, rather than political extremes. Ultimately, these are decisions that individuals wrestle with in their own lives, guided by their values and beliefs. But as a policymaker, my responsibility is to ensure it is lawful and thoughtful

Parental Rights

What is your view of the Supreme Court’s decision supporting a parents’ right to know about their child’s gender issues at school?
This is a sensitive & important issue. I believe parents should be informed and involved in their children's lives, especially when it comes to significant personal matters. At the same time, must ensure that all students are treated with care, respect and support. Strong families are built on trust and communication. Parents have a fundamental right to be involved in their children's lives at school. They need to guide their children through important and complex issues. Schools should work with families--not around them--when it comes to a child's development and well-being. I support ensuring that parents are informed and engaged when it comes to important issues affect their child's well-being, including questions around gender. Transparency and trust between schools and families matter

Vaccines

What is your view of California's vaccine mandate for public school students?
I believe in protecting public health, especially in our schools, but I also believe parents should have a meaningful role in their children's healthcare decisions. Schools should be safe environments for every child, and preventing the spread of serious disease is a critical responsibility. Vaccine requirement have helped protect students and communities, but maintaining public confidence requires transparency, accountability, and clear communication with families. Policies should not dismiss families' concerns. We need a system that respects parents while still keeping our communities safe. Strong public health and parental rights can, and should, coexist. We must ensure policies are both effective and trusted.
