Voter ID

What’s your view on the 2026 SAVE America Act requiring proof of citizenship and a government-issued photo ID to vote?

Free and fair elections are the foundation of our democracy. I voted for the SAVE America Act to ensure only U.S. citizens vote and implement voter ID to prevent fraud. This is simply common sense and a critical step toward restoring election integrity by ensuring every legal vote counts and every election is secure. I am proud to be fighting alongside President Trump to deliver the election integrity that Americans are calling for.

Budget

The U.S. national budget deficit continues to grow. What approach do you believe the government should take to address the mounting debt?

For the past 25 years we have seen our federal government’s spending spiral out of control. Career politicians got us into a massive hole that will take longer than a few years to dig ourselves out of. First, we need more people in Congress who are committed to fixing our fiscal situation and fewer people who voted to put us tens of trillions of dollars in debt. Since coming to Congress, I have voted to reform government programs and bring down spending. To get back on the right track, we must cut unnecessary spending while growing our economy. I have been targeting waste in federal spending, including through my legislation, the No More SCAMS Act, to crack down on fraud involving federal taxpayer dollars. We have seen tens of billions of dollars in fraud in programs like Medicaid, SNAP, and unemployment benefits; Cracking down on the criminals who rip off taxpayers, along with other initiatives, will move us in the right direction.

Israel

What is your view on U.S. support for Israel?

No response was submitted for this question.
I always have and will continue to be a loud voice in support of Israel’s right to exist and right to defend itself. The United States’ relationship with Israel is a matter of national security. Israel is a democratic and like-minded ally of the U.S. I have consistently supported American security assistance for Israel’s defense and have seen how initiatives like Iron Dome have provided security in a time when Israel has been under constant attack. I am grateful that the U.S. and Israel are working together side-by-side to defeat terrorism and Iran’s threat in the Middle East.

Border

What is your view of President Donald Trump's measures to enhance border security?
Did not answer
No response was submitted for this question.
Border security is national security. I have been proud to stand with President Trump to secure our border, enforce the law, and stop fentanyl from pouring into our communities. I secured historic border funding to build the wall, strengthen border patrol, and deport criminal illegal aliens instead of releasing them into our neighborhoods. I have introduced and supported legislation to secure every mile of our border, crack down on cartels, & keep our families safe. I am grateful that we have a President who delivered on his promise & secured our border. The numbers speak for themselves. Apprehensions at our Southern border decreased by more than 90% percent to their lowest level in 50 years under the Trump administration. We have operational control at the border, and the border is no longer an open route for cartels and traffickers.

Marriage

In 2024, Californians voted to amend the state Constitution to establish marriage as a fundamental right regardless of sex. What is your view on this amendment?
Did not answer
No response was submitted for this question.
I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I have opposed efforts like in California to redefine marriage. All people should be treated with kindness and respect regardless of their background, but this cannot come at the expense of undermining our fundamental religious freedoms. This is wrong and goes against fundamental American values. We cannot say we are advocating for equality and rights for one group of people while destroying the rights of the other.

Abortion

What is your view on abortion and the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to return the issue to the states?
Did not answer
No response was submitted for this question.
I respect the Supreme Court’s decision to leave the issue of abortion to the states. As the mother of four children, protecting life is personal to me. Life is precious, a gift from God and one of the most fundamental rights. That is why I supported the Born Alive Survivors Protection Act, a commonsense legislation that will give protections to infants born alive after an abortion. I have also been a strong supporter of the Hyde Amendment, which prevents federal taxpayer dollars from being used to support abortion procedures. As Americans, protecting the most vulnerable among us, valuing life, and prohibiting publicly funded abortions should be commonsense and I will continue to stand up for prolife values.

Parental Rights

What is your view of the Supreme Court’s decision supporting a parents’ right to know about their child’s gender issues at school?
Did not answer
No response was submitted for this question.
The Supreme Court decision is a huge win for families, parental rights, and basic common sense in California. Parents, not the government, are responsible for the upbringing of their children. Parents, not politicians, know what’s best for their children and have a right to know what’s happening in their child’s life.
