Voter ID

What’s your view on the 2026 SAVE America Act requiring proof of citizenship and a government-issued photo ID to vote?
The American people deserve confidence that their voice is truly heard on Election Day. Even if voter fraud is rare, citizens have every right to demand accountability and proof that our elections reflect the will of the people. Secure elections matter because they reveal what issues truly matter to voters and hold government accountable. Unfortunately, some in Congress dismiss common-sense reforms by claiming they will disenfranchise voters. That argument is disingenuous. If changes do create temporary hurdles, the solution is simple: provide clear guidance and assistance so every eligible American can register and vote. New processes can feel challenging, but difficulty is not a valid excuse to reject reforms that protect election integrity. Strong, trustworthy elections strengthen our democracy and restore public trust.

Budget

The U.S. national budget deficit continues to grow. What approach do you believe the government should take to address the mounting debt?
The U.S. national debt now exceeds $39 trillion. The solution is not more taxes or spending — it’s pro-growth policies that expand the economy. We must encourage investment, innovation, and new markets. I will fight to reshore companies, make Silicon Valley the AI Innovation Capital of the World, and unleash American energy. In CA18, that means building reservoirs, securing water supplies, and protecting farmland for farming- not regulation. Root out waste and fraud in federal budgeting and international spending opening the door to tax cuts for working Americans and overhaul our tax code to reward spending and reinvestment at home. I support MAHA/Bill of Rights tax write-offs for every American whether they itemize or not. This includes after-tax dollars spent on gym memberships, fitness equipment, self-defense training, safes, and personal health. By growing the economy, cutting waste, and simplifying taxes, we can reduce the deficit and increased opportunity.

Border

What is your view of President Donald Trump's measures to enhance border security?
Border security is fundamental to any sovereign nation. Strong national borders require active cooperation between federal and state governments, and smart policies can align them to achieve shared immigration goals. Yet current policies often block this partnership. We must enact reforms that create mutual benefits and shared interests, so our immigration system truly protects the safety, security, rights, and liberties of the American people. This will bring much-needed consistency — border policy should not swing wildly between administrations or parties. Today, flawed Census rules and sanctuary incentives encourage states to resist federal law. When Washington sends inconsistent signals, it creates massive, preventable burdens on local governments — driving up costs for housing affordability, healthcare access, and decreased economic opportunity in districts like California’s 18th.

Marriage

In 2024, Californians voted to amend the state Constitution to establish marriage as a fundamental right regardless of sex. What is your view on this amendment?
The U.S. Constitution’s Preamble charges the government with ensuring “domestic Tranquility.” Encouraging two opposing factions of society to fight over the fundamental purpose and intent of marriage undermines that core obligation. As your representative, I will defend policies that promote unity, stability, and peace in our communities — rather than division. Strong families and clear values strengthen America.

Abortion

What is your view on abortion and the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to return the issue to the states?
I support returning the issue of abortion to the states. This allows each state and its citizens to determine the policy that best reflects the values and priorities of their own communities.

Parental Rights

What is your view of the Supreme Court’s decision supporting a parents’ right to know about their child’s gender issues at school?
Parents know their children best. Public schools and the state must respect and honor parents as the primary authority over their child’s upbringing and education. Parents have both the right and the duty to guide their children’s values and beliefs. To fulfill this responsibility, families must have real tools — including meaningful school choice — so they can select the learning environment that best aligns with their values. Parents should be free to choose schools that reflect their family’s principles without interference. The federal government must ensure that local school districts, counties, and state education policies fully comply with federal law protecting these fundamental parental rights. Strong parental authority strengthens families and improves education outcomes for all children.
