Voter ID

Share your view on the 2026 California ballot proposition that requires voters to show a government-issued photo identification to vote.
I am strongly in favor of voters being required to show photo ID to vote. It is unfortunate that our Attorney General, Rob Bonta, has titled Proposition 39 in such a way as to frighten people about voting. However, this deliberate obfuscation of propositions is not new. It was annoying to me when I first moved to California after having voted in New York. I would ask my new father-in-law if voting FOR an issue meant you were “for it” or “against it”? It was that confusing. In some respects I feel sorry for voters. We want to do the right thing and “vote”, but it is made more difficult by roadblocks such as this. No wonder the voter turnout is low!

Budget

Share your views on California's budget shortfalls and mounting debt. Do you favor cutting spending, raising taxes, or a mix of both to achieve fiscal responsibility?
My role in the Assembly will be to teach the Assembly that we need to be friendly to businesses, and repeal some of the laws that established onerous regulations. In addition, there are taxes and fees that the Assembly has placed on businesses. I was shocked to learn that in my district, AD 52, all the businesses have gone. Throughout the state, some 500 businesses have taken their plants to states where they are treated like treasured friends, not like ugly polluters. The two ways of making a living in AD 52 are in Healthcare and services. California is not friendly to businesses, failing to see that businesses support the community! There is the belief that we don’t need those ugly businesses – the rich can pay for everything! They don’t realize that there aren’t enough rich people left in California!. Margaret Thatcher famously said that socialism is fine until you run out of other people's money.

Israel

Share your view on America's support for Israel.
I believe it is very important that we maintain our friendship with Israel and that we support them in their efforts. There are so many Bible verses about supporting Israel, God’s chosen people. Those of us that are Christian know that it was no accident that Jesus was a Jew. We are part of a beautiful tapestry that God has woven, and supporting Israel helps us honor our spiritual family.I am happy that DJT effectively closed the border, and is deporting people who are not here legally. California became a sanctuary state in 2017 and Los Angeles a sanctuary city in 2024, underscoring the fact that our government wants to be friendlier to illegals than it is to American citizens. Why? It is deplorable that ICE is being persecuted in CA and LA

Border

What is your view of President Donald Trump's measures to enhance border security?
I am happy that DJT effectively closed the border, and is deporting people who are not here legally. California became a sanctuary state in 2017 and Los Angeles a sanctuary city in 2024, underscoring the fact that our government wants to be friendlier to illegals than it is to American citizens. Why? It is deplorable that ICE is being persecuted in CA and LA. What a travesty!

Marriage

In 2024, Californians voted to amend the state Constitution to establish marriage as a fundamental right regardless of sex. What is your view on this amendment?
Let’s define “marriage” and “contract.” Those who voted for Prop 3 back in 2024 have not erased marriage. It is intact and is still what God spoke of as holy and sacred. Our society rests on the family which God intended to be created from marriages. To those who want to form another type of union, let us use the word “contract.”

Abortion

After the Supreme Court returned abortion policymaking to the states, do you believe that is the correct level of government to decide this issue, or should Congress or the Constitution establish a national standard?
It is too bad that the Supreme Court lacked the courage to declare that abortion IS murder. So they kicked the can down the road to each state so they can wrestle with it! There is so much evidence that life begins at conception and legal evidence that if a pregnant woman is murdered, the killer faces TWO charges of murder.

Parental Rights

What is your view of the Supreme Court’s decision supporting a parents’ right to know about their child’s gender issues at school?
This decision is a triumphant win because it reaffirms that children belong to their parents and not to the state. That is really what is at stake. It is adults preying on children. It is disgusting when the question of gender even comes up for consideration for people under the age of 18 or 21. Why aren’t they helping children navigate the difficulties of growing up?

Vaccines

What is your view of California's vaccine mandate for public school students?
Vaccines were not questioned as much before COVID as they are now. The problem seems to be whether a vaccine is a positive or negative agent for children. As a person who was vaccinated early in life for most of those “childhood diseases”I think it seems reasonable. The public woke up during Covid, when they realized that not all vaccines are really vaccines! Parents should decide whether to vaccinate their children or not.
