Allows people currently serving a life sentence without parole, who have already completed 25 years of that sentence, to petition for a re-sentencing hearing, potentially reducing or ending the sentence. Only those who were convicted of 1st degree murder of a police officer, 3 or more people, or a sexual offense requiring registration on the sex offender registry are not eligible to be considered by the court for a re-sentencing hearing.
