Referred to Assembly Appropriations Committee.

Would require both public and private schools to investigate all serious misconduct complaints against employees even if the employee resigns during the investigation and report findings to a statewide database that all schools must check before hiring. Schools would also be required to share evidence of misconduct with other schools, even if a prior settlement says otherwise. Outside contractors working with students would also need criminal background checks.
