Would require all college athletic coaches, assistant coaches, and trainers at CSU campuses, community colleges, and state-funded private colleges to complete a mental health and suicide prevention training by July 1, 2028, and every two years after that. The training can be taken online and at no cost. UC campuses are encouraged but not required to participate. This applies to both paid staff and volunteers.
